What are the Benefits of a Big City Retirement?

It is true that most people want to retire in a small or medium sized city. Big cities, however, generally have more amenities than smaller communities, and with more amenities come benefits. These can include access to better, larger and more varied medical facilities. Emergency response times are often faster in larger cities because there are more emergency vehicles on the road. Senior support systems are often more extensive in larger cities. Cultural amenities, including a ballet, a symphony, an opera and more are often present in larger metropolises because there is a base of donors to support them. Most large cities have extensive public transportation systems, something that is often lacking in small towns. So while small towns and small cities are generally the places most people want to retire, big cities have benefits, too
